Mental & Allied Health Clinics

Our Mental & Allied Health Clinics offer a comprehensive range of mental and allied health services (psychology, counselling, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, early education and literacy services). These individual sessions are offered in conjunction with health and life-skills seminars. All of these services are delivered by our team of quality and experienced professionals and entail significant logistical support in terms of equipment and resources. Our team members cover multiple disciplines, each offering a wide range of services and resources:

Psychology/Counselling: Individual counselling; family therapy; child and adolescent support (addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, parenting, stress management, grief & loss, marriage issues, abuse and more).

Early Childhood Development: Reading and pre-reading assessments; learning and curriculum support; educational development advice and support; early literacy.(addressing issues such as print book awareness, oral language/metalinguistic awareness, creating a self extending system: solving words, fluency, monitoring and correcting, etc., strategies for comprehending texts: inferring, connecting, summarising, synthesising, analysing and critiquing).

Physiotherapy: Bladder & bowel control issues; prolapse & pregnancy related issues; pelvic area pain; tummy recovery, back care, injury management and more.

Occupational Therapy: Hand writing skills; fine motor skills; emotional self regulation; developmental assessment; sensory processing; social skills and social perception.

Speech and Language pathology: diagnosis, management and treatment of individuals who have difficulty communicating effectively or who have difficulty with feeding or swallowing (addressing issues such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, literacy, fluency, voice, swallowing, late talkers and more).


As part of the clinics, additional services and facilities such as the pop-up “Paddock Cafe”, child care, entertainment and workshops/seminars are offered depending on the nature of the host event. This is part of the Well-Being Arm of Outback Futures, contributing to a more holistic approach to service delivery.
